I bought this reel about a year ago and it is unbelievable. It is the most durable and maintenance free baitcaster I've ever seen. I am extremely tough on equipment as well. This is my go to reel for swamps and areas with a lot of stick ups. I have hauled up four and five pounders out of grass and logs with ease. Most reels usually just simply ain't got the strength to do that. I've owned a lot of reels in my life and this one is hands down the best I've owned. For all my fishing I trust Abu reels for the job. Thanks for such a good reel.

I have the high speed version of this reel so I only have 18 lbs. of drag pressure but, I'll tell you all 18 lbs is plenty. I spooled it with 20 lb Power Pro and have it on a 7 ft. St. Croix Legend Extreme Med. Heavy Fast Action rod. When I hooked into a 5 lb largemouth bass I pulled the beast so fast that it was skipping on the surface of the water! I can't begin to imagine what 24 lbs of drag would be like. I also have the old Skeet Reese version of the Premier and I prefer this one!

purchased this reel when they first came out and paired it with fenwick hmg 76 flippin stix . this reel has the speed to take up slack line , lightning fast and the power to haul em out. plan on gettin more

Absolutely the best reel I have ever used. I used to use nothing but shimano. I use it on a 6'6 medium heavy veritas for flipping Texas rigged plastics in timber and grass. The brake system on this reel is perfect for flipping even when using fluorocarbon line. Thank you Abu Garcia for making all your revo reels and converting me from shimano. Going to sell all my shimanos and get nothing but revos. Awesome
