My fishing buddy encouraged my to start using a bait caster, I purchased the Revo STX in the begging of winter witch gave my plenty of time to practice. it was easy to used and it took a short time for me to start getting long and accurate cast. the dials were easy to set and use, with a good feel on the handle, by mid season I had to have the Revo Premier, great job Abu Garcia
I would recommend this to a friend!

I am addicted to the flawless performance and the versatility of the stx series. I'm blessed to be able to fish occasionally with an Elite Pro fisherman, he has contract with brand xyz and last year noticed how smooth and far I was throwing crankbaits. He took a turn with the Revo on a 7’6” cranking rod and was hooked, pun intended. I fish a lot in all conditions from single digits to triple digits and have never experienced a failure with a Revo. Even after cold rain that turned to snow and ice, my guides were freezing up, but the reels stayed smooth and controllable. I fish mostly fluorocarbon and braid and don’t experience backlashes like my buddies do, even throwing into the wind. Once you fish a Revo you will realize this is the reel you’ve been looking for the whole life.
I have used Abu Garcia reels for many years.I was a big fan of the 4600's now they sit in the garage I replaced all of the and then some with STX,SX and Winch reels. They are so smooth and trouble free. Just use some hot sauce reel oil and they will perform like new for years.

I can't say enough about this reel or any revo for that matter.The reel is so smooth & with the braking system,casting distance is magical.
