I have been throwing this reel for about 2 years now, I have several in my arsenal, and it has performed flawlessly. I do the majority of the maintenance on my reels and usually clean them before I even fish them. Well I disassembled my first one to clean out the bearings that are usually over lubed, I inspected them, and they had the perfect amount of oil. I reassembled and fished on it for a year and took it back apart and everything was still in perfect shape. I run through reels like crazy and these reels have held up perfectly. I recommend them to everyone, and I will stand Abu proud.
I switched over to all REVO STX's this past year and I can't say enough about them....They are high quality reels, that don't break the bank!!! I wouldnt ever switch to another reel...great stuff!!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Was reluctant to pay near $200 for a reel. I am not a professional angler and money is hard to come by. I decided to try the STX based on feedback from some of my friends that had them. I am amazed at the ability it has to cast light lures, even into the wind. The drag system is smooth. This reel is quality. I have bought other brands of reels for lesser money and thought that I had gotten a good reel. Most cases I thought I did. Try the STX and you will see the difference between a good reel and a quality reel. I am convinced that I have become more proficient because of the quality and performance of this reel. I have since bought a second STX. It is the best reel that I have ever used, period.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This reel has been a top level performer since the day in hit the market. I guide and compete in tournaments and the last thing I need is to worry about the performance of my equipment. If you're looking for reliability, performance, and easy maintenance then the Revo STX is for you.
