The REVO SX is an awesome reel. it feels solid. casts far and smooth. for the price it feels like it could compete with more expensive reels. The drag is superior to other manufacturers reels. i bought it for bass, but i happened to float over some tiger muskies with my spinner. this is the only "bass" reel with medium speed gearing under $200 that i have ever owned that has held up to a 40" tiger. works well ripping small buck tail over weeds for example, but i wont recommend it for something i know it wasn't designed for. (simply stating it is extremely solid and durable). this reel exceeds my expectations by a long shot. it (and other REVO's like the S and STX) make some other manufacturers reels look silly in a sense. these offer so much more. looks, durability, strong drag for the unintended muskie, and the cast control on these reels is simply amazing. the thing just sends the lure with accuracy and no backlashes. it is perfectly smooth throughout the whole cast even if you toss it. flip it or launch the lure a ways out there. never owned such a nice reel for less than $200.

Brushy Creek, Iowa Pulled out of a brush pile.
The Revo SX is the first low profile real I've ever bought and will never buy any other. I learned how to cast with it and it was like I've used it since I was 3. The Linear Magnetic Brake never gave me any problems. The profile fits in my hand perfectly. It was a great reel to start with and by now I've wrenched some 4 to 5 pound bass outa some hairy structure without any failure from the metal gears and no flex from the X-Craftic frame. I will never buy anything other than Abu Garcia.

Great casting reel, very smooth and it feels great in my hand. I like it much better than some of the brand reels I have, and will be switching them all out.
