The reel cast a mile and is super smooth. The braking system is excellent and the drag system too. It's an all around work horse and I couldnt ask for more I'm hooked.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I purchased this reel on my annual Cabelas fishing trip with my wife.I do most of my fishing in the river at our camper which is at a camp river front in Pa.I heard great reviews on the reel so I gave it a try . I also purchased the vendetta rod to go with it ,right away I noticed how light the reel and rod combo was.This is a very nice for long days of fishing.The reel casts smooth and very long with just a simple light cast , you can adjust the brake and slow down the cast ,it has pinpoint accuracy and feels light a smooth and looks amazing.I have caught many types of fish on this reel including bass,Walleye,musky,pike,and catfish.I love this reel and brand very high quality and a company that seems to care about the angles out there.I am abu Garcia for life there is no other brand as far as I am concerned.I would highly recommend this to first time angles and seasoned anglers,awesome all around reel.Smooth ,lightweight,and can pull a boat up a boat launch with its power.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The Revo SX is a mid priced reel with a high price attitude. The low profile design makes it easy to palm and is very comfortable even after a full day of fishing. The braking systems are a breeze to get dialed in. Once they are set to your liking, look out because this reel flat out casts a country mile. I have fished everything from 10lb mono, 15lb fluoro to 50lb braid and it handles all lines with no issues. The Revo SX also has plenty of drag to handle even the meanest of fish. Overall, I would give this reel 4.9 out of 5 stars. Once you pick up a Revo, you won't want to put it down.
Over the past 22 years I have passed down my love for Abu Garcia to my two sons. And this past father's day they both went together and bought me my first Revo SX. Wow,.. all I can say is what a reel ! This is the smoothest and longest casting reel I have ever used so far. I wanted to say thank you to both my sons and thank you to Abu Garcia for making such a great reel, this will bring many more memories of fishing with my boys ! Paul
