Reel has a great low profile. Cast great into the wind. The back lash control works great. Great cranking power. The drag is fantastic. Definitely would buy another one. And would recommend it to a beginner or a seasoned veteran.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This reel is great except the Magnetic brake doesn't work well. You will get a birds nest no matter what setting you try. I have the Revo Inshore and it works great. Stay away from this model. The rest of the models are great. Sorry Abu but you need to work on this reel for its next upgrade.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I purchased this reel the 7.1:1 revo sx hs ..the first cast i caught a 1 1/2 lb ..and the second cast i caught a 2lb bass and the 3rd cast i caught a 7lb bass and the reel handled exstraordinary ..i didnt even feel like i had a 7lb bass on the end of the rod . Thanks to the Team of Abu Garcia for a great reel...oh and im also a beginner like just learned it today and only had like 3 backlashes..great job abu

I bought this reel last winter around Christmas time for winter steelheading here in the Pacific Northwest and I use this reel for float fishing, corky fishing, back bouncing, and pulling plugs on a 8'6" G Loomis and run braided 15lb line (holds 125yds) and it is certainly a match made in heaven, My only problem or concern would be the coating on the frame/ finish, I take immaculate care of all of my fishing gear and where the water rests on the frame where the line comes in is already pitted and messed up, It dosent affect the reel in any way but for the price I expect a little more quality. I still would buy this reel all over again without hesitation. Ohh and my biggest steely was 19lbs so far and I can cast 3/8 of an ounce into the wind all day long. If you buy it you wont be sorry,, Fear no Fish and keep em Sharp! Marc from Oregon
