Though I don't own any higher-up models, I do own other brands that are within the SX price range. None of them feel as comfortable, or perform as well as my SX. Whenever I'm just going to use 1 rod, I always swap the SX onto the rod I'm taking. When my budget allows, I will definitely be buying more Revos. (I really want a winch)......hopefully I can win a Revo in the drawing

I will be fishing 16 plus Tournaments this year and I am in the process of switching all my Reels to Revo SX's. Have 6 changed over so far. One of the smoothest and longest casting reels I have ever used.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I've owned hundreds of reels just in the past 5 years. This reel is the most reliable one I have found. With very little maintanence it performs the exact same every time I use it. And thats what you need in tournament fishing. I usually trade up every year, but there is really no need to with these. For the average angler, they will last a lifetime. It's a no brainer, buy these!

the reel is nice and smooth with great casting distance. i can can cast an unweighted wacky worm +40 yards. i teamed it up with the viento rod and am really liking the combo.
