This is one solid reel. I drift fishing mostly here in BC Canada. I used to use abu round reels a lot. Don't get me wrong, I love them but it's just too heavy for me after a day of casting. The revo sx is light, and small. It's not as cold as the round ones made of metal if you palm it for whole day hunting for winter run steelhead. It's got stronger drag yet more than enough line capacity! Just don't let the size and weight fool you! Thanks Abu for such a quality and affordable product!
I have been fishing with a Garcia since I was a teenager in about 1967 starting with the 5000 and now use the Revo Sx HS; 5600CB and Black Max. In 45 years I have owned 10-12 Garcia reels; some I still have and loved all of them. Thanks for a great product! I have never lost a fish due to reel problems.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have to disagree with anyone that has a problem with abu Garcia's quality i bought the revo sx gen2 about 3 years ago never took care of it and it still worked great i just learned how to take apart baitcasters and i did one side at a time and it was easy that thing was so disgusting and grimy i dont believe it still worked that good now that its cleaned and lubed it works better Then the day i bought it abu should work for the military cuz they build freakin tanks as far as the button not working properly i understand you spend that kind of money you expect perfection but sometimes you get one with a slight problem if you learn to take apart a reel you can fix stuff like that in no time but it stinks when someone says im done with abu garcia cuz other people see that and might pass on the smoothest toughest sexiest reel they'll ever own and no i dont have any affiliation with the company just someone who knows an amazing product when i fish one keep up the excellent work guys ABU 4 LIFE

This reel would have been one of the best I've owned, but the thumb bar doesn't engage when I reel. I'm fairly sure this isn't as uncommon as Abu Garcia would have us believe as I've read of at least 2 others with this same problem. I'm reluctant to give this reel 3 stars because it's definitely a 5 star reel, it's just that I expect a reel to work properly when I spend upwards of $150 on it. Other than this single issue, the reel is excellent. What bothers me the most though is that Abu Garcia expects me to pay to ship the defective reel to them (the reel is new and I used it once before realizing it had a problem). I hope this isn't the case or I won't be purchasinng Abu Garcia products in the future.
