High Hook day!
I find this one of the best reels I have. I have about 30 different configurations of rod and reel setups, but this one is my favorite and most comfortable. I did put the Power Handle on it, it helps with the Blue Fish.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have the 60HC spooled with 50lb power pro. I've used it on rockfish to bass in the kelp. This reel has all the drag you need to control large fish, it casts 1/2oz and larger swimbaits like a dream and with the ability to pack on 275yds of braid you can fish the deep water fish and know you can pull them up. The only complaint I have and this goes for all the round baitcasters Abu Garcia makes, is the lack of weep holes in bottom of side plates to allow water to drain out. You have to shake the reel to remove water unless you have time to open it up. I drill holes in mine for this purpose. Abu engineers, take note of this.....
This is the reel that gave me the confidence to start using bait-casters again- I have 2 of these and use them for everything from throwing Carolina rigs for bass to live bait in the river for whatever comes along- it handles them all without a single issue. Dead on reliable and unnaturally smooth operation with very maintenance (compared to other reels I've owned)- Quite possibly the finest reel ever!

casts well,comfortable to hold,easy to set up,drag is superb and easy to maintain. Have the 40,50,and 60 models-all work great!
