I've been using the Orra SX all year. Loaded with 20lb braid I have no problem reaching out as far as needed to cast whatever is tied on.This reel is very smooth on the cast and reels like a much more expensive reel. Wow was I impressed!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Abu Garcia produces the number one top of the line reels in the world. They have gone over the top to bring quality to the Orra Sx. This reel is the absolute best example of the type of high performance reels you can get from Abu Garcia. Orra is guaranteed to satisfy every customer.

me and my new Orra SX
I had been a Quantum fan for nearly 20 yrs. now, and always admired the Abu Garcia line of reels, esp. since the intro of the Revo series. My first baitcaster I learned on years ago was an Ambassador. I am the budget guy, but love the top end equiptment, although sadly never could fork out $200-300 a reel. I owned several Quantum Codes and earlier ACS models, but purchased an Orra SX this year... I LOVE IT! The quality and smoothness are vastly superior for a reel under $100! It's much more compact and ergonomic, lighter and palmable. I'll be replacing all my reels with Abu Garcia including spinning reels. Now all I need are a great 7.1:1 and a 5.1:1 baitcasters, and a 20 and 10 size spinning! ;-)
