I purchased the Black Max to use for Bass fishing. Casting with light lures and baits were great. I enjoy using this reel so much that I paired it with my Lamiglas 7ft Ultra Light and I now use it for Trout and other Pan fish. It fits great, feels great in the hands. Even spooled with 6lb line, I have no problems casting micro jigs or #0 lures.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Small Smallies i got with my Blck Max
Now its not the best reel in the world and im not going to say it is, but for a first time user or some one who just wants to lern how to use a bait caster this is the reel for you. I started on this and now am moving up, For the money it was definitely worth it and I enjoy using my BM everyday.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This reel outperforms other reels that cost two to three times as much. I'll probably get another one just to keep in the car.

I purchased a Black max combo almost a year ago @ Academy and love it! Good smooth action and easy to use and most important it was easy to adjust the setting.It is very easy to use, and a great reel for both beginners and more expierienced anglers .Everything about it was excellent, handling, casting, lightweight and best of all, durability. I will always used (ABU GARCIA) , 4 the rest of my life,, Amen..
