I bought this reel last year for my catfishing rod .I love the smooth reeling action and the clicker works great. I would recomend this reel for any fisherman I have had great luck with it on large cats in the wabash and ambraw rivers this is a excellent reel i plan to buy another soon so i can have to cat rods going thank you people at abugracia for making this great product along with all your other ambassordor reels great job
After using a ABU Cardinal 44 for 39 years, (which is stil in excellent condition!), I found a ABU 5601 C4 a good choice. Very smooth and precise, with good handling. Looks good and feels solid. I hope I will have as much fun with this reel as I had with my Cardinal 44.
I would recommend this to a friend!

A couple months ago I was catfishing with a cheap Bass pro round baitcast and it fell it apart in my hands. I took it back and purchased this reel and really like the way it casts and how it's built. I liked it so much I just bought another one. When buying future reels of any style I will always look for Abu Garcia 1st.

I picked two c4 reels up a 4600 and a 5600 up as striper reels. These things are now used heavily for striper, large king mackerel ( 20-40lbs ) cobia same size, bull reds, small black tips 2-3 feet. I use them as power reels for pulling large red snapper from structure (10-20 lbs). absolutely no rust, awesome drag and fast line recovery. I am very rough on my equipment and feel lucky to have purchased these reels. I look forward this year to doing some heavy musky fishing with them. I really enjoy fishing with these reels. I use braid 20lbs on the 4600 and 30lbs on the 5600 c4

I.recieved as a gift on.my 8th birthday from my parents I am now 20 and fish on a weekly bases and use that real every time I go. And it is still just a smooth in.castin and retrievin as it was new love it . Since then I have gathered several abu reals. Dont fish with nothing else
