I've had mine for about 5 years, I have caught Large Mouth bass and Stripers, never had a single problem with this or any of my other Abu Garcia reels, The line retrieve speed is perfect for crankbaits, spinnerbaits or anything else I tie on. That is why when ever someone is looking at reels, I recommend they check out the Abu Garcia models that are available.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have several of these and keep up on maintenance, and I havent replaced any parts yet unlike countless replacements on my shimano reels.

i orginally bought a C-4 last summer to snag spoonbill, and use for catfishing on Lake Eufaula. I have since updated all my reels to the C-4. Good casting distance and the fast retrieve make snagging ALOT easier.. haven't had a bit of trouble with any and cleaning and maintance is a breeze. Would definately recommend to others.
I have used this reel exclusively for catfish and it's a workhorse! The drag is so smooth and the clicker couldn't be better. I love using this reel and I would buy another.
