I loved my veritas rod until it completely snapped apart. My rod along with 2 others was in our boats pole compartment when the lid fell on it. The other rods survived with only light scratches, but my rod shattered. I'm not sure what the problem was.

The first day I used this rod i was extremely impressed by the action and the sensitivity however on my second day of using it it broke about 6 inches from the tip on a hook set. I was quite disappointed especially after using it successfully and enjoying it greatly the day before.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this because it had such good reviews and I saw many good things. I took it out to the lake and I set the hook on a fish and the tip of the pole broke off. After spending so much money on the pole I was super disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I picked this rod up during a sale. I feel this is a great rod. Time will tell with the durability, but I really liked the action on this rod. It is incredibly light and has a great back bone to help control a catch.
I was disappointed to find out that my reels from other companies do no fit this rod properly. There was a gap between the reel and the rod. Some electrical tape will make it work for now, but I want to a reel that sits better on the rod. I got the 6'6" spinning rod, what reels would fit this without having a gap between the reel an rod. The revo series? The orra series? Both? I don't want to purchase another reel and not know whether it will fit the rod properly.
Overall I am very happy with the rod. I would just like to pair it up with a reel that fits.
