I own the 7' Veritas Spinning rod and I thought this rod was good until recently I went to fish at a local pond and the bottom eyelet snapped off while making a cast. I take care of all my rods and use rod gloves to keep them seperate/give some protection. Its ridiculous how cheap these guides are.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love the design but i just bought it 2 days ago and the 2nd cast it broke about 6 inches from the top eye i was using a quantum baitcaster on is

I have owned my Veritas 6'6" medium action, spinning rod, and it performed well, catching hundreds of fish, and reducing my amount of lost fish to a very low percentage. I have fished for everything with this rod, from perch, to bass, to walleye, to pike and muskie, and it performed well everytime, until the other day while fishing, I had a hit from a 20lbs pike on a Terminator spinnerbait, and when I set the hook the first 9 inches of the rod broke clean off causing me to lose the fish. This is very disappointing, I am currently ordering a Villain rod, as I am a supporter of Abu Garcia. This is very disappointing to me, as I have not kept my receipt, and can't replace the rod.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought a veritas spinning rod and on the first day one of the guides broke. I contacted Abu Garcia and they instructed me to explain how it happened and to show receipt to confirm purchase date. They replaced the rod no questions asked. Great Service and product warranty. I am a loyal Abu Garcia customer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Recently retired from military (3 mo's ago) and bought some fishing rods and reels.....all Abu Garcia except 2 spinning reels....Revo Inshore, Revo S, Vendetta, and Veritas. Veritas rod looks exactly as day I bought it, EXCEPT... My second eye, closest to reel, inside part of eye fell out. Don't know why or how, literally there one cast, gone the next. Worst part is I bought this from a tackle store in New Orleans area who is no longer in business. I really hope someone can help me with this. I have pictures but of this, but having problems uploading.
