I absolutely love these rods. I have owned more expensive rods but I haven't owned a better quality rod. My wife swung a 14 pound drum into the boat with one and I couldn't believe it didn't break.
I would recommend this to a friend!

this is by far the best rods ive purchased i have three with the Abu silvermax bait caster also mine are the micro guide rods wich i HIGHLY suggest getting it was around $500 for all 3 plus the 3 silvermax but it was the best $500 ive ever spent on rods and reels

Was a big fan of the veritas. I own four. Three casting and one spinning. The line guides are cheap. Three of the four are missing guides. They bend easy and when u straighten them out they break. Thought this was going to be the rod for me but know I'm going to have to find a new rod. Love the rod but in my opinion the guides are cheap.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello and thank you for reaching out to us. The issue you describe with the guides sounds more like a care issue than a manufacturing defect. The guides on the Veritas series are made out of titanium alloy, a lightweight and strong material. If cared for properly, they will no break. However, as with any metal material, once the guides are bent at extreme angles, the metal will weaken when you straigten them out. Just use care when placing them in a rod box and during transport and you shouldn't have any more issues. All Abu Garcia Veritas rods carry a 3 year warranty. I bought this rod a month ago, and I have loved it. In one week at lake fork texas I caught probably 30 fish a day with 4 fish over 7 lbs. it has performed awesome.
