Bought 12 rods for FLW tour and 9 have broke..They are absolute garbage going back to All Star they stand behind their rods unlike ABU!!!!!! If you fish heavy cover use a hand line you will have a better chance at getting fish in boat
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Don't waste your money on these rod's...go to WalMart and buy a better rod...i bought 2 rod's...1 casting vrc70-5 and 1 spinning vrs70-5...the casting rod broke at the 4th eye on the 3rd hookset about 3 months ago...the spinning rod broke at the 4th eye on a hookset last weekend....rods did'nt last anytime and i'm out of $200.00 bucks...

About a year ago i purchased a veritas 7'6" med heavy rod, I like it so much i purchased 3 more on my next trip to store. odly after the purchase, the first one i bought broke, i sent it back and got a new one in about 2 weeks. On my next tourny my next rod broke under the pressure of a .5 lb blue gill. the rod was a 7'6 med heavy also. and finally the last one that just broke it was also in a tourney in which i hooked up with about a 3 lb bass and three guides down it broke in half. needless to say i lost the fish wieghed a 2 lb bass and lost first place by .25 lbs. these rods are a great concept and feel awesome but the issue of them breaking seems to be wide spread. now i have two more rods that i have to pay 9.95$ to ship back and waite 2 to 3 weeks to get back. these rods shouldnt be breaking this easily. my rods ae all kept in sleeves and my rod locker. i use 17 lb flourocarbon and usually 1/2 to 3/4 once weight. none of my other rods have had any problem like this before, abu garcia in my opinion makes the best reels money can bye ( ive got 3 revo sts and one orra) but the rods need work. unfortunatly im out around 400$ that i cant get back not including the 9.95$ I have to keep dishing out for the waranty =. these rods just went from 89$ to around 110
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We are sorry to hear about your broken Veritas. The rods in the V series are constructed with high modulus graphite which makes them extremely sensitive and ultra lightweight. The modulus graphite is a high performance material that requires care when transported and stored. However, all V series rods carry a 3 year warranty. Broken rods

I bought 12 for FLW tour this year and 9 broke in tourneys! These rods are absolute junk going back to rods that stand behind their product without $9.95 plus time plus packing plus not have a rod for weeks thats what you get with these rods.

Small smallmouth, removing hook, hardly any pressure = snapped Veritas. Sending in for replacement, wishing I'd bought a different brand!
I've been bass fishing for 27 years and have never had this happen. Rods a quarter of the price hold up better.

It sounds like based of the price point rods you’ve been fishing they are made from fiberglass or a composite material. With the high modulus graphite material used in the Veritas, other V-Series or high modulus graphite rods produced by any manufacturer you must take greater care during transportation not to allow the rods to bank against each other. As an example, any high modulus graphite rod should not be just tossed in the back of a truck in between fishing trips. High modulus graphite rods provide several benefits with lighter weight design and increased sensitivity over the fiberglass or composite rods you may have typically used. Rods a quarter of the price, $25, are generally constructed out of fiberglass that is heavier, less sensitive but really don’t need as much care. To add strength to the Veritas it utilizes a Nano-Resin system that provides increased impact resistance over rod blank with the same wall thickness and modulus rating. With proper care of your high modulus graphite rods they will provide a long life of performance cast after cast. Thanks again for reaching out to us and we will be in touch with you shortly.

i got this rod thinking it would be a good rod, its not. Its a GREAT ROD you are getting a 200$ rod for half the price it is great. my friend has a vendetta an the veritas is lighter but that is really the only difference that i know of. the 30 ton graphite is great, i pulled in a 4 pound bass in with no problem and plopped it right in the boat get this rod!
