I just got my veritas this spring, i liked it very much. Then i was fishing had a carp on and my rod snapped. I couldn't beleive my new 100 dollar rod snapped. I hope it was a defect.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I just recently bought one of these and it preformed extremely well easily the best rod I own and very sensitive and extremely light weight
I would recommend this to a friend!

Got a 7' Med. spinning rod in early December was a good rod for the most part...wanted to use it for shaky head fishing but the tip was stiff and casting ability was greatly reduced so used it for lighter worm fishing. Never saw the fish that snapped the rod in almost half but typically smaller fish from this particular lake. Disappointed for the first time ever with Abu Garcia...I own 5 Revos and now 2 usable V series rods. Love the weight and reel seat didn't care for guides or durabilty.

The rod was replaced within the week and Abu Garcia had me back in the finesse fishing game quickly! Super impressed by Abu Garcia. Would definately say Abu Garcia has the best customer service I have ever experienced

I've had the Veritas for almost a year, i have it paired with a Revo S. Superb Combo, there is only one minor issue with the rod. the hook keeper is right above the Abu logo, my Jig ripped that logo right off in a day. The logo should be somewhere else but thats the only issue.
