I just got this rod about a week ago with a brand new revo stx. I loved both the rod and reel, but then the rod broke in two places, the third day of fishing with it. Please help Abu Garcia.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi. I buy a rod veritas microguide , at 4 months it broke the second microguide and the next month broke the rood with a small fish, I have a reel revo winch which I am very happy, but with the rood if I am very disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

"Disappearing grip "

I own 5 of the veritas rods from the 7'3" to the 7'11" and the rods perform very well, but on to 3 of the rods on the butt end the handle is literally disappearing. The rods are always stored in my rod box. Other than that great product.

I have been talked into buying many high priced rods over the years by reviewers and friends and they were mostly good equipment and I liked them and used them. No more! The first time I fished with this Veritas rod I felt like this was THE ONE. I have never handled a rod this good at any price period. I have been catching just about everything in the water this season, largest a 5lb. 9oz. LMB. I have my 7ft. medium action paired with a Revo PRM30 spinning reel and I can't imagine a situation in which I would choose one of my others over this combo. The only negative, I now have to replace a lot of expensive rods as I just won't use the others anymore. Abu Garcia you got this one perfect. Great sensitivity, strong, weighs nothing, and a truly beautiful pearl white color. The split handle and your reel seat allows for every nibble to be felt and strikes feel like hammer blows on my arm. This rod is perfect and I would like to recommend it to everyone as it will become their go to rod.
I have the 7' MH Fast casting rod. It was my first "expensive" rod that I purchased. I mainly fish plastics/jigs and could not believe how much I could feel with the veritas rod. With previous cheap rods I would always second guess if I had a bite, and i would wind up swatting at grass, setting my hook in sticks/logs, and undoubtably miss fish that I could not feel.
Once I realized how the sensitivity of the rod directly translates to me catching more fish, I started purchasing more expensive rods. I've purchased a few rods in the $150-$200 range only to be let down because they are not as sensitive as my veritas.
My more expensive rods have better actions and fit/finish than my veritas. The epoxy on the guides and hook keeper on the veritas are quite sloppy. However, chances are when you see me flipping jigs or fishing a t-rigged plastic, I have a pearl white rod in my hands. The sensitivity of the veritas makes it my go-to rod. I will give up a little tip action, fit/finish, and durability if I can feel every thing my lure contacts.
I think sensitivity and durability go hand in hand. High end rods are more brittle than cheaper low modulus carbon rods. If my veritas breaks I know Abu will take care of me and replace it hassle free. The same can't be said for some other companies with sensitive, brittle, orange rods.
