Currently own a Veritas VRC692-6. I tested this rod north of Yellowknife,NWT,Canada with 15lb test braided & 15lb test mono. No line brakes;no snags;no issues - micro guides is one of the best updates to any rods! Action was excellent & strength was impressive. Landed numerous lake trout;northern pike & whitefish. Purchasing 2 more Veritas today...1 for my brother (got tired of him grabbing for my rig when I wasn't looking!).
I just bought this rod recently for christmas . i have the 7 foot , medium heavy . I fished lake okeechobee the day it came in . It was a great day , i had over 40 fish on it and one just over 7 pounds . Overall this is a great rod , I recommend this rod to everyone . Also the micro guides are just fantastic , its the lightest rod I own .
I would recommend this to a friend!

I had this rod for maybe 3 months and it broke while casting a frog for topwater. The tip guide broke off and besides that I saw the inlet of the guide break as well. Not very pleased with this rod
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This rod is so amazingly light and sensitive. The rod is just light enough to not mess up throwing light jigs or lures, but also it is just tough enough to throw heavy swimbaits and big clunky lures. When you move a lure over the bottom of lake you can identify what every type of object is be it a rock, log, grass, weeds, stick, boulder, dirt, sand, or mud.
