You do need another rod, however the wife may say you dont!, and some days she could be right. Regaurdless of any repercussions I may serve I went ahead and bought it anyway. If you have read any of the reviews or used the VERITAS to date we can all agree that it offers all the benefits of all the higher end, and higher priced rods out there. The VERITAS has great sensitivity, strength, balance, weight, value, and what the heck it fishes well and even looks great. I feel that the VERITAS was the best overall rod introduced in the 2010 season. I bought it!!, and who cares what the wife says you should buy one to.

I bought one of these and after catching about 30 largemouths on it I had to go out the next week and get another one. Paired with a Curados it has a great balance and is very lightweight. After fishing all day on several occasions and using this as my main rods for the day, I didnt feel nearly the same fatigue as I was used to on some of my other combos. When paired with the Smoke reel its as light as a feather. I can feel every blade of vegetation and every twig, even the teeth of the fish as the worm moved in its mouth. Almost like having a touchable image of the bottom as one can tell what the lure is passing through by the vibrations it sends up the line with 30lb braid.

Overall I like this rod. I broke one while getting hung up on a stump but i dont know if that can be blamed on the rod or me. I have a 7' and 7'6" casting rod. The Revo stx fits great in the 7'6" but not in the 7' rod. The orra SX reel fits great in both. I have yet to get ALOT of use from it but i like it for now.

I bought a 7ft meduim action veritas and used it for about a month. It was no doubt one of the best rods I had used. It had great action and an over all excellent feel. I ended up snapping the rod at about the third eye, swinging a small bass into the boat. I thought maybe it was just a accident and maybe i had stepped on it in the boat or something. I ended up getting another, same length and action, and snapped it....setting the hook using a texas rigged worm.
