I had a vendetta that snapped the first day on the water so I "upgraded" to the Veritas in hopes that it would be a little stronger and more durable. I took it out for its first day on the lake with me and I'm happy to report that it did just fine. I caught about 6 or 7 medium sized bass and the Veritas did a great job. I was a little concerned about how it would do after my experience with the Vendetta but "so far so good". I like the sensitivity... it really transmits all sensations from the lure extremely well. My only concern is that it seems to be a little too light for my comfort... I'm afraid that if I hook into a large 10-15 pounder it won't have the backbone to get it to the boat. That's pure speculation on my part since I haven't hooked anything larger than about 7-8 pounds with it so far. But it's in the back of my mind none the less. Probably due to my experience with the Vendetta. Hopefully my concerns will prove to be unwarranted and I'll be using my new Veritas for years to come. Only time will tell, I'll let you know more after my next outing.

The veritas is strong lite weight sensitive and affoardable for the average fisherman who dont want to borrow money to buy a rod. It ctaches fish and u dont have to baby it its tuff enough for me to let my 10 yr old grandson borrow it and not worry about it breaking. super fine super price super looks it is set up with revo sx rod is 6-6 med power perfect when u have a small boat and have enough room for just a couple of rods this is an all around rod use it for any type bait.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I waited a while to write this review as I wanted to be sure the rod is worthy of a 5 star rating. I paired the veritas with a Revo Premier and the combination is incredible. First of all, the rod looks great. The rod is extremely strong, I am using the 7' M casting model. It works great for fishing senkos, other plastics, and jigs. I have also pulled medium diving crankbaits without any problems. The rod is EXTREMELY light, yet strong. My first day out with this rod was a tournament, I caught over 20 fish on this rod without a single problem. I can definately guarantee you that for the price, you will not beat this rod in value or performance.

I purchased the ML spinning rod for the pure fact that it felt good in my hand. After getting out with it a few times I have fallen in love with the "feel" this rod gives you over different bottom content! I cant wait to add more to the arsenal!
