I am IN LOVE with this rod!!! I bought a 7' MH to use basically as a worm fishing rod, however I have been so impressed with it that I now fish many other things with it! This rod is as tough as they come yet sensitive enough to pick up different types of bottom. Even though it is sensitive it still has plenty of backbone, I have landed several Lake Guntersville Large Mouth on it this summer with no problem. The white color and the name veritas(meaning truth) just send this rod over the edge for me, it is perfect!! Keep it up ABU, I have always been a loyal supporter and I will continue to be, I can't wait to get to try out some of your new rods/reels for this upcoming year!
PS: The Hoodie demo was a very nice touch too!!!
I would recommend this to a friend!

i recently purchased the abu garcia veritas rod in 7 ft mh with a fast action tip and love this thing to death! i can feel all bites weather its a small fish or a large one i was even looking away and i felt a bass suck the lure into his mouth .... you can feel the bait doing its action and you can feel the bottom as well all in all the veritas rod is one of my favs and im goin to bass pro to buy me a veritas spinning rod next :p

rods look good and feel good, but when i try to swing a 3 lbs striped bass in the boat. My rods tip snap, so pull out another rods out and it snap again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The Veritas is designed from high modulus graphite which makes them lighter and more sensitive. It is important to remember that high modulus graphite rods should not be used to swing fish into the boat. We suggest lipping, picking up or netting the fish depending on the species. The $20 rods you mention would be designed from a lower grade of graphite or fiber glass that tend to be heavier but can be high sticked by swinging fish in the boat.
Also when using rods designed from higher grade graphite remember to strap them down during travel so the blank is not rubbing or bouncing off other rods on the boat.

Just picked up my 7th Veritas, a 7'3" MH for pitching jigs and coupled it with a Revo Premier and couldn't be happier. Draggin in hogs and loving every minute of it. Light, sensitive, and strong!
