Broke tip off on first trip out !

I purchased three Veritas 7', medium heavy rods during the winter. Two baitcasters, and one spinner. Was very pleased with the weight, & feel. However, on first trip to the lake broke about 6" off the tip of the rod for no apparent reason. O.K., just did something wrong. Then on second trip out was using the spinner rod and lifted an 8" bass into the boat and broke about 6-8" off the tip of that rod. NO REASON, just snapped off! Have no confidence left on these rods. Would NOT recommend them to anyone. NO RELIABILITY ! KY/TN Fisherman

First day using the rod. Set the hook on a 12 inch smallmouth....and snapped 2 eyes from the top. Work out your kinks before you sell a new product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thanks for letting us know about your problem. Sometimes rods get damaged at retail or in shipping which can cause a break. For that reason we offer a 3 year warranty on all V-Series rods. If you purchased your rod recently the retailer can exchange it or you can contact us directly to activate the warranty through the support tab on the website. This rod caught my eye so I decided to give the 2 piece 6-10kg a go. The rod has a nice taper and the solid but allows for good tension on the bigger fish. The one thing I was a bit iffy about when i purchased the rod was that the first two like guides only had one attachment point which is of for a rod in this weight range. Third time out the lower line guide snapped off and awaiting a replacement. I have noticed however that the one piece 5-9kg has a better guide system and hope to give this rod a second chance as I really like the way it the bigger fish.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I also had the tip of my rod break. I spooled up the new setup and was excited to cast it but was not even able to get that far. After I had it spooled and tied a hook on, I put the hook on the hook loop and the tip broke. The line was not even tight. Now I have to deal with shipping it back and waiting for the replacement. Wont be using this setup for the Wisconsin opener.
