i bought the vendetta when abu first came out with the new new model. thi pole is so nice and has a great balance of sensitivity and strength and a stunning look to go with it. i love every aspect of this pole. i fish small mouths with it almost everday here in Perry county PA when it warms up. and paired with the revo3 sx it is a match made in heaven. i would love to get a small sponsor from abu!!!!
Excellent rods! I have both the 7' Med Casting rod and the 6'9" ML Spinning. The exposed blank on both are outstanding. It helps you feel every little bite. They also have great spacing between the bottom of the rod to the reels. I can get the bottom of the rod right up against my forearm and really get a good handle on a fighting fish instead of it all being in the wrists. And the price, you cant beat it. The rods are the prize of my collection so far.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this brand new from the store and the first hook-set today it broke. Very saddened because I don't have much money for fishing and this set me back a some money. Probably will never buy an abu garcia rod again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

From what you describe and the supplied photo, the rod most likely was knicked during shipment/stocking or while on the shelf and ultimately failed under the load when you set the hook. Bought it last spring, seemed nice out of the box. After the third or so time taking it out, the tip snapped when i hooked a bass. I glued a guide on the tip, but its just not the same. Dissapointing to say the least.
