I decided I was going to upscale my equipment this year, so I started with an Abu Garcia 7' M-F rod, paired with the Orra-S (20 size) reel and braided line with a fluorocarbon leader. I took the combo out a couple of days after I bought it after work, and was using a crayfish-style jig 1/8 oz jig. I could feel EVERY rock and pebble the jig tapped, as I was hopping it and dragging the jig across the bottom. On the fifth cast, I felt a couple of light taps on the way down and the line started moving opposite the current. I hooked up my first smallmouth of the season. She managed to unbutton herself, but that was actually my fault. I hooked into another fish about 15 minutes later just as big.
This was such a great rod, that I went out and bought the 6' 9" ML-F for soft plastics, and will be picking up one more for drop-shotting. I also ordered an Orra-S reel, but somehow got an Orra SX--I'll be reviewing both of those reels next...
I got the 7' MH vendetta for Christmas as a gift to go with my Revo sx reel. I wasn"t able to fish much until I went to Lake Toho on vacation in March. I only took this rod and a Veritas 7' MH #also paired with a revo sx#. The vendetta worked great. I caught some nice fish without problems. The rod wasn't as sensative as the Veritas, but it is still in one piece.#which is more than I can say for the Veritas# With it being the only rod left, thanks Abu Garcia.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this rod to pair with my revo sx. The balance is spot on perfection. this rod is so sensitive i can feel my crankbaits action through the handle. There is no mistaking a bite from a fish with this bad boy!
