I have used many rods but this is by far the best. Very light weight and the action is right on. Rods are well balanced and fit well in larger hands like mine. I am a week-end angler and would love to fish more. Vendettas will always by my rod of choice.

I have the 6'9 MH and the 7'3 H. I love them both. The 7'3 H is perfect for flipping and pitching, as well as frogs and c-rigs. The 6'9 MH is my go to rod. It's paired with a Revo SX, 7.1:1 gear ratio and I can throw anything from a weightless fluke to a 1 oz. football jig....this is a super tough and durable rod!

I purchased a 7 ft. Heavy action Vendetta from a local retailer and used it the very next day flipping trees and grass pockets around the shore for about half a day. I caught several nice bass with it, around 3-4 lbs each and the rod did great. I was just getting comfortable with the new rod and frankly was really starting to like the action and strength. Then without warning I went to set the hook on what felt to be another nice sized Bass and the end of the rod snapped off about 12 inches from the tip. Obviously, I lost the fish and unfortunately I lost my sweet new rod. I took it back to the retailer and they exchanged it no questions asked, thank goodnes. However, I decided to upgrade it and replace it with the Veritas in hopes that it will be a bit more durable. I'll let you know how that works out.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello Mark,

Thank you for letting us know about the issue with your rod. It sounds like the rod you received may have been nicked at retail or while transporting as some point. With all high modulus graphite rods, a nick like that will cause the rod to snap when it gets bent. All our V-series are covered under a 3 year warranty for just that reason. We can always be reached at 888.228.4272 or at abugarcia@purefishing.com if you need to speak to our service department.

I purchased this rod because right from the moment I saw it, I absolutely loved the way it looked. The positives: for the price it is sensitive, casts well, lightweight, strong, and durable. The MAJOR negative: The aluminum screw-down was larger than the reel seat itself and stuck out past the stem of my reel. When I held the reel with the stem between my ring and middle finger (most comfortable to me) the aluminum hood rested at the base of my index finger and pushed so hard it actually bruised my hand after a day of fishing. I ended up taking the rod back because it was just too painful to fish with for me. I think ergonomically the entire line needs a makeover on that one element. Even if it had some EVA or something to help soften the blow. Otherwise, an awesome rod; looks and performance.
