I purchased a 6'6 vengeance rod and within two weeks of using it the top two guides shifted from its normal position and it affect casting very much, other than that it is a great pole but casting is not pin point.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I purchased a 7' Vengeance spinning rod in April 2012. I never used the rod until June 2012. After using the rod for about a month and a half, this past weekend I went to set the hook and the rod snapped in half. At first I thought the rod had just come apart, but after further inspection i realized that the rod had snapped just above where you can break the rod down. I must say I was surprised that it broke after using it for such a small amount of time. I have bought $10 fishing rod's that have lasted year's, not months! In saying this, I did like how the rod worked while it was still in one piece, so i am going to try to warranty it. The only problem is I purchased the rod in Ottawa, On, which is over 2 hours away from where I live.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We are very sorry to hear about your problem with the Vengeance rod. The Vengeance is constructed with 24 ton high modulus graphite material as compared to the $10 fiberglass rods you stated you have purchased in the past. Fiberglass blanks are slightly more durable, but sacrafice performance and feel. This is why the Vengeance is extremely sensitive and ultra light-weight. But, this new technology makes them more likely to break when high-sticked or at places where it has been damaged. However, all V series rods carry a 3 year warranty. Some may think I'm foolish, but I use this rod on my 1/2 day saltwater trips out of H&M Landing in Point Loma, Ca. It is perfect for fishing in the bay, but it will hold up in the kelp as well, fishing for Calico or whatever else may hit. I've been using it all summer long, and it has yet to fail me! I've caught a handful of Barracuda with it even! In certain aspects, it makes saltwater fishing that much more fun! Two weeks ago I caught the jackpot fish aboard the Premier on this rod....a nice fat Calico bass :)
I would recommend this to a friend!

I purchaed the vengence rod as part of a baitcast combo with the black max reel. I used the rod once, caught 2 bass, nothing big. When I got in from the water I noticed that one of the rings from the guide was missing. All that was left was bare metal. In addition on another of the guides the ring was loose, you could rattle it around with your finger tip. Poor quality control? Usually I would just return the rod and say nothing, but snce there seems to have been problems with the guides in other reviews, I thought I should speak up. Other than the guide issue the rod seemed to work well the one time I used it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
