This rod is a great rod. It is very well crafted with quality parts that hold up. I am very pleased with the strength of my 6' 9'' MH. This is an absolute great buy for the low price tag. This belongs in a much higher price range, but Abu Garcia is able to put it out there for people who don't want blow a ton of money for a quality rod.
About a month ago I went back to a local store to purchase another Berkley Lightning Rod (last years model, not the Shock), another great walleye rod in its own right (at least for me). Anyway, I stumbled upon the Abu rod section and picked up a 6-9 Vengeance, I loved the way it felt right away. The EVA handle feels so nice, eight guides make it so sensitive a strong backboned. I was getting it anyway before I noticed it was on half price sale. Couldn't be happier for getting a superb rod for $25. I just wish I had bought more that day. Went back next week after field-testing mine to get the rest, but, only one 6-6 left. I got it and both have been amazing rods. March was a great month to catch walleye here and both Vengeances delivered. Great rods that rival $100+ for a great bargain.
