I bought the Premier yesterday and began to catch fish with it today. I paired it with a 7' medium Veritas along with 10lb flourocarbon and it is a casting animal! I'm chuckin' lures to the moon and dragging hogs back in. The drag is amazing on this thing! I started my baitcasting arsenal with a Black Max a couple years ago and have moved to a Revo SX then to a Revo STX and finally have a Premier with all the Revos being on Veritas rods. Couldn't be happier!

I recently bought 2 Abu Garcia Revo PRM. I had BPS Johnny Morris Elite, but wanted to upgrade to more drag and better casting. I paired these with a G Loomis Salmon rod SAMR1265C. The best combonation I have ever had. I carp fish for the big fight and I have to say even a 20lb carp can't out do these combonations. It almost takes the fun out of the fight. The drag is smooth, they are sooooo light, and casting is amazing! I measured my average casts with my old reels and these and I get 35' farther with these reels! I also do some bass fishing and u can adjust these from a heavy 4oz for carp to just a plastic worm for bass and cast farther and better than ever before. Although I will say for strickly bass fishing the MGX my father-in-law is better. The only thing I wish they did different was to put a lube port on these like the MGX. Just makes it more convient to maintain. That's the only reason for 4 stars on maintenance. Other wise perfect reels for anyone! Espically someone like me that is prone to bird nests and wants to cast as far as possible! They don't backlash once adjusted!!

i love to buy fishing gear, reels are no exception. ever since i tried the premier i have been looking to buy more reels and everything comes below par. the smoothness of the retrieve and drag system in the reel is unbelievable, I now own 2 premiers and am very happy with them. just bought the Revo MGX and i am quite eager to try it out! lets see if ABU GARCIA has yet again risen the bar! the only reason i gave it 4 stars for maintenance is because it doesnt have the small compartment near the handle to oil the reel (found in other revos and orra series).

- The finish is not extremely durable.
- The drag is AWESOME- smooth and powerful.
- I really like the handle/grips.
- It eats oil around the rim of the plastic section that holds the brakes. However, it is easy to maintain and fix.

I have been a shimano guy most of my fishing life to be honest, I recieved a revo prem for a gift and have to say all of my future reels will be revo's. They are smooth, durable and cast a mile.

I have three Stx's and three Sx's. Everything on each reel is made perfectly. Smooth,strong, and always reliable. That's why I will only use Abu Garcia until the end of time. I tell everybody to buy Abu Garcia.

I have owned this reel for the last couple of years. I have the model before they introduced the golden pieces. I a beginner so I tend to back lash a lot with this reel and get nasty bird nests, do not get me wrong when cast the correct way it is awesome. Outside of that the reel is great super smooth, light weight which really allows you to fish all day.There is no better reel on the market expect the Revo MXG. (hint hint)

This reel is the best reel I own. I was skeptical at first because i heard many different opinions, but man I wash I never doubted it! This reel can handle everything! Ive used it for frogging, flipping and pitching, and finese tech. and it handles the lines that i use very well. ABU GARCIA has made me a fan FOR LIFE!!!!

I am a "Die-Hard" Abu Garcia user. I currently own close to two dozen. I now have more than one of every Revo model out there (with my recent addition of two additional Premier models). This reel is very light and easy to cast. It requires very little, if any, adjustment for switching bait sizes. It is very smooth and has proven to be very reliable. I highly recommend!!!

this reel is the best. period. i got this reel in august, and have put it to the test. it's been fished very heavily, and has not faultered one bit. it will cast a mile, it's incredibly smooth, and extremely light weight. i've been casting crankbaits of all sizes, and i have nothing bad to say about it at all. completely worth the money. i highly recommend getting one of these.

I got a Revo Premier about 4 months ago and it is by far the best reel I have ever used. It's really easy to fish with because it is very compact. You aren't fatigued after using it all day because it only weighs 6.7 ounces. I love the foam grips and the swept handle, which makes it really comfortable to fish with. Plus it has 20 pounds of super smooth drag. Then there is the awesome anti-backlash, which helps me cast it further than any other reel. Once you fish with the Abu Garcia Revo Premier, you will never want to put it down!

There are a lot of reels in the price range of the Revo SX and I have tried them all. The Revo Sx is the best looking and performing reel by far.

I recently bought the Revo Premier as a replacement for a similar reel made by a rival manufacturer. What a surprise. Having recently tried the Premier out under adverse circumstances of high and variable winds I can honestly say this is one of the two best performing reels I've ever used in 60 plus years of fishing. It's a snap cinch to adjust for head in the wind casting. I've had backlashes under these conditions with more expensive reels, but none with the Premier. It's a great performer for the price.
