The Revo Premier works great! Smooth, long casting, and light. The only negative that I can find is the price.

Well I've had a couple Premiers for a while now and just bought my third yesterday for my 7'3" Veritas to pitch jigs with. My other Premiers are on my topwater veritas and my soft plastic pitching veritas. Once again using 15 lb flourocarbon I cant imagine a better designed setup! I bought the last one Bass Pro had which was the display model and have no reservations at all. As i waited for them to box it up I fiddled with some other major branded reels and not to take anything away from them but they can't touch the ergonomics of my Premier. It's so light one could almost be afraid to hook a big fish but believe me it can handle it. So that makes 3 Premiers, an STX, an SX, two cardinals, and 7 Veritas rods for me so far. Next is to replace those Cardinals with Revo spinning reels! Still chuckin lures to the moon and draggin hogs back in!

I've been using cheap rods and reels my whole life. Now that I'm trout fishing on a regular basis, I decided to splurge and get a top of the line reel. I can say that without a doubt, my fishing skills have improved considerably since buying this reel. The sensitivity is another world altogether than anything I had used in the past. I'm now looking for a better rod to match this beauty. Before hitting the New Mexico streams, I tied up a heavy weight on the end of the line, just so I could spend some hours practicing in the park. It didn't take long at all before I became very comfortable with using a baitcaster. I still consider myself a novice, because I see the pictures of people with giant fish and my jaw drops. I've only used this on streams with light bait, so I haven't needed to do any actual casting yet. When I do, I know this reel will perform beautifully.

This is an extremely lightweight reel, built to very precision tolerances. The balance and overall feel are amazing. With the Nano coating it should provide many years of worry free fishing pleasure. It is so smooth it is almost effortless to turn the handle to pick up line.
