This is the nicest baitcasting reel I have ever used. It is able to cast small lightweight lures with ease. It is almost impossible to get backlash with this reel, and I would highly recommend it to any one looking for a superb bait caster. I've since bought other reels from the Revo lineup & they are all great reels.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I was first introduced to the Revo reels several years ago while fishing with FLW pro Scott Martin. He was kind enough to allow me to fish with them and I was sold. Since that introduction, the Revo Premier has evolved some... well alot. the most notable improvement was the drag. Beefed up to follow in the footsteps of the original REVO series with a market leading 18-20lbs of drag (depending on model gear ratio). This is more than you'll need for the typical day of bass fishing, but it sure is nice to know its there. Drag Power is only one aspect of your Drag however; the carbon matrix drag is smooooooooth. Next improvement was the Dual Cast Controls. I personally find the Centrifugal Brake is all I need, but knowing you have a wide range of adjustments available, especially for lighter lines/bait or windy conditions, is real nice. The Dual brakes will keep your bait and line where it belongs... right where you intended it to be. Another improvement was the addition of a couple more stainless steal HPCR Bearings. The new EVA grips are cool looking and feel good, but honestly, I like the grips on the standard Revo STX models as well. I own two Premiers (6.4:1) and plan on getting the newer 7.1:1 model. I own 11 STX models, 3 Revo Winch models, and one Toro (for swimbaits). Spinning reels: 3 Sorons STX. These are all top notch tournament grade reels.

Best bait casting reel I have ever owned. I like the size of the reel, so I mounted on a 6 ft rod to be able to perform a underhand cast to place lures under docks. It is very smooth and backlash free.
