I love this reel. I can cast as far as I want to, and, if you set up the gears right, without backlashes all the time, even in headwinds. It feels amazing in my hand, its better than the curado all the way. Love it, oil it once a year, best. Nice.
I would recommend this to a friend!

i love the revos.i have five bait casting reel.with all the new modles this year i dont understand why they did'nt make a 7 to 1 gear premier in a left hand????

Glad To Be Back With Abu Garcia Baitcasting (again

It's been about forty years since I used a baitcasting reel and that one was my prized Abu Garcia 5500C. I loved it but, kind of fell out of love with fishing until a friend with a boat recently invited me for a day of fishing. I purchased a spincaster but, as my fishing fever grew, I knew I had to have a baitcasting reel again to really enjoy all the newances of the sport: and it had to be the newest and best Abu Garcia reel, "one more time". I just got my Abu Garcia Premier 2011 and feel like a kid on Christmas morning. When I first saw this reel and studied it's features, I knew "That's the one for me". Now I'm just waiting for warmer weather and for my friend to put his boat back on the lake so I can try it out, instead of "cat fishing" with our cats in our home with a practice plug. I love everything about my Premier, good looks, ultra smooth perfomance, so light, and yet so powerful with all the right stuff/features to re-energize my fishing interest and hone my skills again. Anxiously looking forward to a great spring/summer/fall fishing season filled with many keeper bass, from nearby Texas lakes.
