I used to be a fan of Shimano reels, but once I got my first Revo Inshore, I converted. I truly love this reel, I now have about 3 of them which I use regularly with mono & spectra, in So Cal for Big Bass tournaments from bay bass to brute Calico & Sand bass. They take a beating & keep working, I just give them a good cleansing after each use and some lube and my oldest one is 3 years & never have had to service it.

BEST REEL EVER!
Posted August 31, 2011
Love this reel, it is like one of the most solid ones out there with 24 pounds of drag and the duragear desicommit is alight and it casts a mile. I love luring so this is the reel you want if you are into luring.

This reel a catfish killer. Reel in some gaints with no problems at all. The drag and cast are real smooth. Sitting on ugly stik, catfish dont stand a chance. I use this on muskies too. Great all around reel.

I own many different types of reels from Shimano to Daiwa to Garcia, etc. However, none have lasted longer over the years more flawlessly than my Abu Reels. Specifically speaking my Revo Inshore puts the hurtin' on all species from Bass Large and small, to catfish I've landed some exceeding 30 pounds, to tackling big saltwater drum and trout, this reel is hard to beat. With a whopping 24 pounds of drag I can easily rip Redfish off docks, and big trout off flats, and flounder can turn sdeways all they want, they dont stand a chance against that much drag. I feel sorry for the freshwater species like the bass, they don't stand a chance either. Price is kind of expensive, but I picked mine up at an outdoor store on clearance for $60 (it was a left hand) and I would gladly throw down the $230 it goes for to get another. Casts a mile, super smooth reel. Very impressed at the durability as well. Use constantly in the salt, and havent had to clean it yet, this reel is hard to beat. VERY IMPRESSED THANK YOU ABU GARCIA!!

Purchased my first Inshore at the Fred Hall show back in 09. I had a choice between the Curado or the Inshore and I select the Inshore, mainly for the drag/line capacity and ergonomics.
Paired it with a Phenix bass rod and took it out in the harbor to see what the Inshore had to offer. All I can say is WOW!! This is one of the smoothest and strongest baitcaster that i've ever used! Casting was excellent (using 1/2 to 3/4 oz jig heads) and the drag is Phenomenal!! You can pull some brutes with this thing.
Took it out on a charter boat to if this reel can handle some serious game and boy was I impressed. After about 6 hours on the water, captain called it quits and back to land. After that, I was sold. Purchase 3 more inshores for multiple applications. Thats the beauty of this real. Big or small, this reel can handle a wide range of species. Love the revo line so much, I also went out and purchased the Revo Premier, the TORO 50 and 60. Need I say more? I am SOLD on this line of reels!!! Great product AG!
