My Orra S rod didn't even last a year and the tip broke, just like the last Abu rod I had. I contacted Abu and I guess I need to pay a processing fee for their defective rods breaking. I will not be buying another Abu rod that is forsure.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

the orra is a great performing reel. I even bought a cardinal and cannot complain. I had it attached to a vintage 60's Garcia pole and broke one of my eyelets after catching a 4lb bass, that pole's over 45 years old and JUST broke. I have no complaints and nothing but good comments to make about Garcia. exceptional work guys.

One of the best rod I have ever purchased I would love to see the Orra Sx in a combo package I like having the same pole with my reel lol but in all aspects abu garcia y'all are doing a great job
