I was looking for a fishing pole and could not find anything. Then I seen the Ike and it looked sweet. I picked it up and the action was so smooth and I just couldn't put it down. I love catching Bass on this pole. I bought another one just to have hanging in my house cause it looks so cool.
I would recommend this to a friend!

greatest medium action combo

very simple. i like that it has 6 guides and 6ft. also the design and color is nice. i brought this to the lake and someone commented on how cool my rod was. must buy.

I have been catfishing and trash fish fishing for over 30 years and for the challenge and sport of it, I like a medium action rod and reel. My last "medium" action rod and reel broke due to ware and tear of fishing the heck out of it. When I spotted this combo, I knew I had a winner. Proved it today (3-17-12) catfishing. Put 6 lb test spiderwire mono on it and caught 25 channel catfish from 1/2 lb to 5 lbs. This combo handled all the fish with no problem. I have a winner and will purchase another one as soon as my local Academy puts it on the floor or shelf! Great rod and reel combo!

I'm a big fan of Iaconelli, which is what led me to purchasing this rod. It's great. Has a excellent feel to it, very nice rod and reel.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This rod is super neat,not very heavy, easy to manuever, All around great pole. I recently caught a 33 inch Rainbow Trout In Cherokee with it. I used SpiderWire 12 pound Test. GREAT ROD! NEVER GIVE UP!!!

Item was recieved today, I ordered two poles, the cardinal 300 series. and the IKE DUDE. please see my review of the 300 series if interested. I am a fan of Mike so I bought the pole. It arived and was very aparent that the pole had been previously used, broken, and repaired. The tip had been broken repaired, and is a different color missing paint, and covered with hot glue like substance. The eyes had been broken and or bent and repaired, and there was hot glue like substance EVERYWHERE! THIS IS NO JOKE. I as of right now will never buy another item from Abu Garcia! I have been fishing for 8+ years at a semi pro level. I have never seen bad product like this. I have had rods break catching pan fish and still give higher regard to them because, they at least took the time to make it look decent! I will add pictures of this JOKE OF A POLE as soon as I have my camra batteries charged!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We were glad we were able to get this problem taken care of for you and shipped replacement the way the order should have originally arrived. It looks like your rod was broken after it was shipped from our warehouse. Orders are fulfilled by independent retailers on our website and the damage to your rod was something outside of the products design. i saw the glue too. I got it three days ago, went fishing today with it for the first time and the pole snapped on a snag after a few casts. I drove straight to where i got it and returned it.

Rich, this product is meant for younger people and getting them in the outdoors. So you shouldn't be so upset with this product. If you don't like it sell it to a young kid at a garage sale or if you have a kid give it to him or her.

Hi, I recently left this review as to a very unsatisfied experience. I want to thank Abu Garcia for the very quick, prompt response in correcting this mishap. I look forward to recieving the item in correct condition and will one again be an Abu Garcia fan! The Customer Service was above and beyond.
