I've had numerous under $100 combos, but all I can say with this one is WOW! other than a higher grade rod, this ones up there right with the $150-200 reels!
I bought the combo unit because It seemed pretty decent for the price. The reel is actually pretty nice and is smooth and casts well. The problem I had was with the rod. The trigger section of the handle broke off on my first trip this year. Trust me im very careful with my stuff and you would think that you would have to hit it pretty hard to break it but that simply isn't the case. To make a long story short. 79.99 reel. 20.00 rod. Shipping to Abu Garcia 10.00 Return shipping 9.95. Rod now in trash. Looking for a new rod.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This comba has to be the best casting combo for its price range. Minimal backlashes, almost always my fault anyways. The rod feels amazing. I use it as an all around combo. The reel is incredibly smooth. If they weren't sold out here in town, I wouls definately own more.
I would recommend this to a friend!

just picked it up and i love it!!! i was planning on getting another combo but when i walked by it and felt it. i was like WOW this is awesome but i was thinking this combo is out of my price range then i saw this price tag i was shocked!!! you cant beat it. officaly converted to ABU!!!
