I bought one of the orra/veritas combos about two years ago unfortunately the rod snapped after minimal use however the orra was used furthermore and was an excellant and reliable reel which caught everything from big mangrove jacks to 2and a half foot sharks almost effortlessly I loved that rod until it fell into croc infested water and sank out of sight. Now im hoping the sx will be as good for me.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Let me start off by saying I'm new to Abu Garcia, but not new to quality gear. I just bought this reel to go on my new Abu Garcia Vendetta rod. Bad idea. Lots of play in the main shaft. Spool sloppy and loose which causes vibration when reeling in. Not worth the money. Nice color and look, but I'm here to catch fish, not look pretty.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is the most amazing reel I have ever used even compared to a $150 one. it feels like silk and casts smooth. Absolutely spellbound by the superior quality of this amazing reel. I will never buy another reel or pole from any other brand other than Abu Garcia again.

Currently using this reel on a medium heavy 6.5' rod for bass fishing and absolutely love it.
