There's no denying that if you've used a revo, you know what that first cast feels like. You look over at your buddy (who's just been greatly outcasted) and you exchange that look. That look that says, hmmm.... maybe this was worth the money.
A couple hours go by and you've almost forgotten the reels in your hand; not because of its flawlessly comfortable low-profile design, but rather because its so smooth, and so effortless to use that its practically became an extension of your arm.
Days go by, (maybe weeks if the wife's got a honey dew list for you) until you use it again, and time after time the revo-winch delivers.
Its truly the best reel ive used. plain and simple.

Lake Murray cold water hawg couldn't resist a slow rolled spinnerbait in 20-feet of water. The Revo Winch with it's 5:4.1 gear ratio was vital in keeping my bait slow and deep in order to get that bite.
This review is so appropriate for this time of year. The water is still cold and a slow retrieve can be critical to turning an average day of bass fishing into an amazing day of bass catching! I guide and compete in bass tournaments and the Revo Winch is the reel I turn to when the water temperatures are cold and I need to crawl my crankbaits, spinnerbaits, swim jigs, or swimbaits to get the bass to commit to the lure.
In cold water situations I’m looking for bass in clear water, and the fish will usually be grouped up in tight schools. Using the right reel can make all of the difference in getting lure presentation correct. The Revo Winch has a 5.4:1 retrieve speed which takes up just over 20-inches of line with each turn of the reel handle and will slow the presentation down just enough to keep the baits moving yet still remain in the strike zone for a longer period of time.
Complementing the gear ratio are the 10 ball bearings that make the Revo Winch super smooth and long casting, and when you get that pig on there is no need to worry about breaking the light line we often use in cold clear water because the carbon matrix drag system is as smooth as silk and will help wear that big fish down so you can just slide her into the net and bring her into the boat.
For a powerful, smooth, easy handling reel with the right gear ratio to slow things down when needed reach for a Revo Winch. You'll be glad you did.

The Revo Winch is the best cranking reel I have ever used, and it's perfect for deep cranking. I can cast further than anyone else I have fished with and this is important for reaching 20ft depths with a crankbait. Sometimes this is the difference between catching fish and not. You will also love the lower gear ratio for throwing big baits. Buy this reel you will not regret it.

I fished a tournament at Lake Fork with the Winch, it was the first time I had used it. It made fishing a crankbait effortless. I liked it so much I got another for Xmas. You will not be disappointed with the Revo Winch.
